Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said, 'We got information from several sources and reports about the theft of users' data via mobile apps and data transfer without permission to the servers located outside India. However, the apps used offline may continue running like this and users will have to remove them on their own. Apart from this, the banned apps will be removed from the Play Store and App Store. Also, other apps with the same features can be made available to users. A report said that the government has instructed Google and Apple to remove these apps in 24 hours.
